Caught off Whitby.....50 yards off to be precise. He'd had a 40lber a week previously from the same place.

Some of these fish from days gone by are unbelievable, I just wish I had some clippings to post but unfortunately I wasn't even born when most of this took place!

I think I remember this one. He netted it on the left of the west pier and would have been a shore record. Within casting distance of the shore!

Thats right Ian , I was fishing the west pier that night , I had a couple if i remember correctly unfortunately slightly smaller
