Porsche....

I bought a new Porsche the other week, last night I thought I'd take it out on the A1 and put it through its paces... So I accelerated to 70 mph, then brought it up to 80, then 90. Glanced in the rear view mirror and saw the unmistakable lights of a cop car. "Damn" I thought, and pushed it up to 110, then 120, before thinking, "What the heck am I doing?! I'm really gonna get in a load of bother for this!" So I pulled over to the side and waited.

The officer, after going through the usual routine and asking if I knew what speed I was doing and asking for my license, insurance etc. said,

"Sir, if you can give me a speeding excuse I've never heard before, I'll forego the speeding ticket and let you off with a warning."

I paused for a moment, then said, "10 years ago, my wife ran off with a traffic police officer. I thought you were bringing her back."

"Have a good evening, sir." the officer replied.
