You definitely wouldn't regret it. It rides the sea with ease, and a very dry ride too. I've seen them up at Reiver boats at Stanley at different stages of construction, and don't think any other boat builder could match the build quality. Oh oh, what have I said!

Lovely boat you have Northeast1, always admired the Arvor's great lines and the way they handle. Arthur.

Here is my first boat.

18ft Plymouth pilot with an ex military 40hp outboard and a 7.5 backup. Picked it up from Dunbar.

Thumbs down My 4.6m Avon SIB

Hi,
This is my Avon 4.6m SIB (not a rib, it doesn't have a fibre glass bottom) which is used solely for fishing.
It's a bit unconventional, but I launch it single handed does 17 knots with a 25hp engine and a lot of weight in the boat (I have yet to try it with a revised trim, as on my first trip it was trimmed too far in).
On a full day buzzing from wreck to wreck it used £15 petrol.
I have a 3.3hp aux, a chart plotter, a DSC radio, a 2D fishfinder and a 3D fishfinder on it. It wouldn't be everyones cup off tea, and I sometimes wish for the benefits of GRP boat, But I love my little rubber boat, and it can get fish.

Geoff
