Default Kayak Fishing Event Scarborough Angling Festival

For anyone interested in this new event there is an update now here :

TRI STAR ANGLING - KAYAK FISHING COMPETITION

This is our first ever match but as you can see it is well organised and the prize table continues to grow, so should be worth the £10 entrance fee for anyone able to make it.

Default Looks Good!

Hi Glenn
I think there will be quite a few kayak anglers from the North East going down to take part! Will you be fishing it?

Hi Tim,

I havent got a kayak as yet but mine arrives in early June, Ive had to order one in as they didnt have the colour I wanted and the lads on our forum pull your leg if you get one of them lively coloured ones .

Im not sure whether I will fish or not but will certainly be involved in some way. I was actually thinking of reporting on the event, getting afloat with the camera and getting a lot of snaps and some video footage, then coming back in to help out with the weigh inn. The area we have chosen should have some good fishing for you guys. We know from experience that there is some big cod and pollock very close in at that time of year, infact in the past few years it has always been a double figure cod from there that wins the biggest fish in the shore events that run within the scarborough angling festival. Last years winner pulled a 15 pounder from one of the favoured shore marks on the drive.

I will endeavour to keep you informed by posting updates here, but you may also seek out more info on our kayak fishing site or forum

Hope to see you all there
