He has some bottle, did you see him swimming in the sea and other equally freezing locations
 . in the other programe training to swim to holy island from the mainland ,he was close to hypothermia when he achieved his goal . Got to admire the man for that

He is a tit but thats the way he goes on and thats how he makes money, its maily an act as i have met him in person off any cameras and he is a straight talking every day joe.
He knows how to work the camera and if that makes him look like a fool for more money than all of us will see, then so be it i say. I wont miss a show thou the fishing with a rod seems to have gone out the window in the last 2 shows, took 45mins before he held a reel tonight

Like Shaun and DT1 I quite like his shows. You've got to remember that he's an actor and therefore says "knobby things in a knobby manner", I think they pay good money to be trained to do it as well as he does. Either way you have to admire his swimming achievements on that show, they certainly took guts, determination and sheer mental and physical strength.
To be perfectly honest, if someone offered me 6 months of extreme fishing around the world in exchange for me acting like a knob, I'd bite their hand off.
