SSA !7th June Ayr results

Sunday saw the first casting day to be held at Ayr by the SSA . This was a new venue for us and was in response to people asking if we could provide a casting day in the area . Well provide it we did , it was just a shame that those requesting it could not be bothered to turn up !!!!!!!!!!
There were 2 Sea Angler casting instructors in attendance , a full court laid out and plenty of time for anyone who wanted tuition . Unfortunately only 1 person took advantage of this .
Richard Stanley (riteup4it) began the day with a cast of 104 yards and with the help of Paul Johnstone increased this during the day to finish on 168yds , well done mate superb improvement .

Results

We were blessed with a hot sunny day , a light breeze ( 5 mph ) which unfortunately was for the most part across court .

Paul Johnstone also set a new Scottish record for the 200grm multiplier with a cast of 228-1-9 setting a new pb for himself in the process . Well done Paul .
