Hello all and welcome to the new casting season.

First things first, may we pass on our thanks to Len Williams for all his hard work over the past 5 years as club secretary, lets just hope we can follow in his fine footsteps.

A few matters were raised at the AGM, such as who would take over from Len as the new club secretary. John Brimblecombe stepped forward to take over the role as new club secretary and with a unanimous show of hands was sworn in as the new secretary. Josh Evans has offered his services behind the scenes as assistant secretary to help John with IT matters and anything else that needs addressing. The committee has not changed, so all the same old faces behind the scenes. An email will soon be circulated with new club contact details, so keep your eyes peeled.

Next on the agenda is the casting dates for this year. The dates have been arranged so where possible we will not clash dates with the UKSF and NESA casting dates, the dates are as follows :

6th July
31st Aug
21st Sept
5th Oct
2nd Nov


Right, I hope your still awake!! On to the first NWSA event for 2008.

The day started off with a good westerly blow averaging between 12-19mph, so hopes were high for some big hits. There was a good turn out of members and non members alike, some old faces from the North East even made an appearence. Lets hope we will see more of them this year. I won't bore you any more the results speak for themselves.
