Angry sweethope thurs

fished sweethope 9 untill 1 gale force winds big lake like the north sea breaking waves the lot went onto the small lake first just a few places we could fish alot of weed narrowed the fishing spots down nothing coming to the top had a couple of hours but nothing to show for it then went onto the big lake my mate got one around 2pound on a orange fritz then an hour or so later another one on a black fritz lucky sod i went home empty handed again with a broken greys rod , jamcod

Tough luck with the rod Jamcod, if you intend fishing in the near future I have a rod you can borrow.
As regards the wind, i'm surprised you and the FC even went to Sweethope, if there is a slight breeze at home you can guarantee it will be a fair wind when you arrive at Sweethope.
As a bit of help with wind conditions, download GB Wind Map, this will give you a five day forecast as to wind strength's and daily conditions, it isn 't far off the mark.

cheers sed ive got another rod that catches nowt as good as the snapped one , as the wind go,es i was ok i just stood behind fc , we are thinking of going for a session fri if your up for it derwent i think , jamcod

I'll get in touch with the FC tonight and see what the craic is.
I'm off to Colt Crag on Tuesday so I hope the weather stays reasonable.
