Default Derwent Reservoir today Fri 5/9/2008.

Well lads went up this aftey 12:30 pm undetered by the rain.
Started off by the dam wall and within a few minutes hit a big rainbow on a black fritz .It snapped my line at one of my knots where my next fly was.
I stayed for an hour and nowt else. So i went to Millishield picnic site. Rain and wind behind me. Caught a small rainbow about pound and half on an orange fritz. Gave it couple of hours then went round to the bay of plenty. Nothing doing here so ended up back at Millishield. One guy bagged up with his eight and he gave me a tip. Hares ear on your point. Tried this and had one more rainbow. Got to 7:30 pm Rain still persistantly coming down so called it a day. Sounds daft but i still enjoyed myself.

Mick.

Nice one Mick.

Must admit, the rain never bothers me whether I'm sea fishing or fly fishing. It's the wind I hate!!!

Cheers

Tony
