Any rod can be used for casting ,minimum of 3 rod rings plus tip ring

Any reel ,eg;penn 525,abu 5500/6500, diawa 7hts ect, fixed spool, alvey reels ect can be used ,providing it can be used for fishing .

Line and leaders must be high visibility (to aid crack off recovery and public safety).

Running line; 0.35mm for 175/200gm
0.31mm for 150gm

Kirkleatham show field is situated approx 1 mile from Redcar , the post code is TS10 5NW for sat nav users,100m north of Kirkleatham Museum.
we ask all members to be on the field before 9.00am so we can close the gates to the public (safety).

Membership for 2010 is £15,this includes first event fee ,then £5 for each event attended thereafter for 2010. Day caster fees are £8 per event.

Juniors are wellcome ,membership is free ,but must be accompanied by an adult at all times .

we have some very good casters at the club, only willing to help any one out gain distance to there casting abilities, at least 4 instructors available and it's free. see all the latest rods ,reels and conversions, and the craic is second to none .

Default march 15th meet

hello will

I`ve been away from fishing for a long, long time but have recently started to get back into it and am really enjoying it.A lot has changed since i fished as a teenager and i`m kinda starting from scratch.I`ve got myself some very good tackle but don`t feel as if i`m getting the best out of it casting wise.Read your article about tournament day and would be very interested in turning up and possibly getting some help and advice.Total greenhorn competition wise but depending on how things go over the day would be very interested in taking part.

many thanks

bigcol

Thumbs up

...and for those interested, there are practice sessions on a Thursday tea-time onwards at Kirkleatham once the nights start getting lighter. Again, various good casters present who are willing to help those out who are wanting to improve.

Ian.
