Default Strange but true!

Went into a local North east) tackle shop yesterday, to buy a few bits for my hols, Came to £5.80, gave the guy £6, and the conversation therefater went like this..

me.\" stick the change in the lifeboat mate\"
him \" hang on\"
me \" Its ok, stick it in the lifeboat\"
him \" No, here you are\" (offers me my twenty pence)
me \" Its ok, put it in the boat\"
him\" No no no...here take it\"
short of saying \" for f***s sake mate, put it in the lifeboat!!\" I couldnt do anyy more.
Exit shop slowly shaking head.

now twnety pence is only twenty pence,.. but five of them is a pound.
know what I mean.

PM will get anyone the shop name. NOT to be posted please.

As far as I know and I might be wrong but the shop has to give you your change then the onus is on you to place it in the charity box, it keeps them out of trouble should a dispute arise
