My favourite will was the old mk one appollo, mainly because it was so sensitive you could feel everything.

I use an old style LT bullet (not the softer dymic version) most of the time but it could do with better bite detection, its ok if you hold it but pretty crap in the stand could do with a slightly stiffer and longer butt. It feels short at 14ft.

I also like the AFAW big beach but it could do with just a touch more grunt in the lower sections and a much stiffer butt .

What we need is someting along the lines of a thinner TTR, loads of poke and casting pedigree but with lots of feel.

SRX was a great fishing rod but far too unreliable.

Also want the rods unground to take a few knocks and scratches.

abot 14ft 6 would be perfect length without the need for a reducer.

Century CMBB - without doubt, one of the best rods I've ever had the pleasure to use (and still using).

..also

Fox Nemesis, 3-piece with low riders - can't half whang a lead out, very light, very sensitive, ideal with a multi or big fixed spool with braid.

ah will, when my jupiter finally expired, and their production stopped, i contacted greys to see if they had a blank, no luck and a real shame.
