Speaking to Sam Harris earlier today, he was telling me what a struggle it is to get column inches in the Chronicle these days for his sea angling column...yet the game fishing write up dwarfs the sea angling coverage; this despite sea anglers up here in the northeast outnumbering the game anglers by about three to one!
What's needed, if you'd like to see better coverage (and pictures not reduced to postage stamp proportions) is to get badgering the sports editor with demands for better coverage of our sport, giving it the attention that its's due, (given the large participation that we have not only amongst the clubs but also the occasional angler..plus of course the boat season during the summer months).
So on Sam's behalf here's the number for the Evening Chronicle - 0191 232 7500 (this is the general switchboard - ask for the sports editor) or perhaps fire them an e-mail (f.a.o. the sports editor) to ec.sport@ncjmedia.co.uk - please consider giving him your support & press for better coverage for us all, boat and shore!
