well as the reports have all dried up . and there are lots of lads out there with lots of fishing behind them so how about some stories about the lighter side of fishing, the funny ones the unusual the quirky , the unbelievable , the things we go up to when the fishing was quiet , the serious ones aswell so I will start and see what happens

one year a load of us went up and commandeered the end of the lane got there before the locals, thinking we be clever ****es ,spaced our selves out, rods stand tackle box , rod stand tackle box etc, and thought well no one gonna be able to push in < WRONG chris stringer came along sometime through the match cast over us stood at the back of and pulled the winning fish, was about 4lb I believe , well to say we was gutted was an understatement we were all truly P******ed off ha h aha a a lol, but that is fishing take the good with bad
wel l just a short one for now see how it goes and will try and remember some more if this kicks of , and I know from other anglers, I know there are so many funny , unusual quirky original
stories out ther to be shared so come on lads put the fun back into NESA

one story comes to mind. My uncle my dad, my cousin and me were on the end of shields pier one night. We had been winding the cousin up all night about the size of the rats on the end of the pier, he was just visiting us from scotland. Unbeknown to him me dad had made a mock rat out of a stuffed old sock complete with tail and whiskers. He shouted come and look at this over the side of the steps. Just as the cousin come to have a look me dad pulled on the line he had tied to the rat, it looked like it had jumped over the top step. he screamed and ran with me dad following saying look the sods chasing us. they did two laps of the lighthouse, until the cousin took off, must of hit the second gate in about 10 secs. Couldnt breathe for the rest of the night for laughing. Will always stay with me memories like that!!
target of 10 codling this season and gonna try for a pig!!!!1

    Cheers Justin
