      I cant tell you how to fish but it was bluey and from seaton on a paternoster.

            Lol Your right Boga I was a bit brief and I'll add a bit more info next time to make it more interesting. One thing I might add is it would have been a nightmare trying to deal with landing a fish around the prom wall boulders and with that in mind I had went back onto the beach as soon as I could and so I had no problems.

              Thanks mate. I haven't been out this year yet, so looking forward to it.

              You're right about landing a fish around prom boulders, I wonder what the best technique would be? Even using a drop net would be difficult.

              Maybe extra long shock leader to lift it by hand, assuming it was still on when you got it close enough to lift? What do you think?

                I think it all just adds to the chances of losing the fish or getting injured if the fish gets stuck and you try and climb down to it. I caught a descent fish in that situation and it got stuck between the boulders. A young lad went to get it and shouted to me its a bass. When he got closer we found it was a sea trout. Pretty unusual and another species for the record book.

                  Wow, The only Seatrout I've caught was in Wales and in Fresh water.
