  • Dunstanburgh Castle 18th Aug 18

Fished the above from 11ish til 1730 on Saturday, between 3 of us had a mix of mainly Codling and Wrasse, (nothing to write home about in terms of size). Used all sort of baits from cart, frozen peeler, bluey, squid and rag ,rag was by far the most successful. Slow- ish day at times that was not helped because of the very strong winds that made bite detection at times more or less impossible. My brother did bend into a descent fish late in the day but he didn't keep up the pressure and lost it. Tried spinning for Pollock to no avail but still Mackerel around as we caught them the previous day a bit further south and see one bloke leaving the castle with half a dozen as we were setting up.
