Default Hendon Prom'

Well guys, The sun was out, the skies were blue, no wind no rain no sleet...PERFECT! Went up to Hendon Prom and was surprised by the number of lads out there, but there again the sun was out.......... Noticed that the sea was high and the waves were crashing in some 3 hours prior to high tide. My mate and I drove down the the far end and stopped short about 100yrds short of the ramp. After about an hour the waves got bigger and after a big one came over the top and crashed down on me we decided to relocate at the north end on the top carpark. High tide hit as did the waves. Both my mate and I decided to rebait and as our backs were to the sea the big one hit. Took my legs out from underneath me same with my mate. I managed to grab hold of the low carpark wall and my mates arm. Once he's managed to get to his feet we went off after our kit, rods, bait, boxes, flasks the lot floating off towards the edge just as another big one hit. Enough was enough, HOME the fish will be there another day. Take care lads!

didn't have the camera with me yesterday, but coming through seaton sluice the sea was crashing over the entire length of the rocky island breakwater and the lower end of the dene part of the harbour (down behind the Melton Constable pub) was flooded over the banks high up onto the grass.
