Bimini twist knot.

I know this subject has been done to death but.....

I use this knot and think it's the best attachment for running line to shockleader but over the last couple of months I've upped my shockleader to 80lb and find the normal 3 up and 3 down ends up a right bulky knot.

I've been trying to fix up a smaller knot to the bimini loop.
Anyone suggest a neater smaller knot.

I use the Bristol knot to attach my leader to the loop Harry .

Thanks shaun,forgot about that knot much smaller and no doubling the heavy shockleader.

Spider hitch for your loop in main line but I turn the loop over once on its self then pass the leader through the 2 holes and tie with a bristol 3 wraps up with mono leader. Braid leader I do 3 up 3 down back through the double loop.

Harry, I use a uni knot (3 turns inside the loop) with my Bimini, having threaded through the eye of an overhand knot in the leader first.

FYI - Tied the knot up half a dozen times with 50lb PowerPro braid / 60lb mono - no problems !!
Should get out in the boat the morra, will give it a go !!!!
