this is my 1st year sea fishing and when i started i bought a shakespear powerplay beach caster i was happy with it but i have been using my spinning rod & flattie rod over the "summer" & im now looking forward to winter fishing for cod ,after reading the new sea angler mag feature on the new sonic range of rods do you think its worth shelling out on the new 13ft mixed ground, fixed spool / multiplier rod for about £100.00 and using the powerplay as a 2nd rod the if so what advantages would i see with this new rod ?? any comments most welcome . cheers davey

You can buy a really good rod for a £100 mate even if its second hand. Diawa do the sandstorm range for the same price if you want new and they aint bad, but personally I'd go for a second hand one.
