What recession?

Snap up a bit of affordable luxury this Christmas and treat fishing friends and family to quality alpaca socks.  Warm, comfortable and self-cleaning, Perilla’s fishing socks still stay fresh and soft after a week – or even a month – without washing and won’t break the bank.

Priced at just £28.60 and available in a range of colours from sedge green to pillar box red, the socks and customised gift boxes can be ordered online from the company’s new, easy to use website at www.perilla.co.uk.

Alpaca fishing socks from PerillaAs soft as cashmere and built to last, alpaca fibre self-cleans so bacteria can’t cling on and make socks smelly.  Warm, lightweight and made from 75% luxury alpaca and 25% nylon, these machine-washable socks are ribbed with an in-built cushioned sole for all-round thickness and comfort to banish blisters forever.

Perilla is also home to a 18-strong range of British-made alpaca socks for every occasion – from baby alpaca bed socks to stripey kid’s socks.

About Alpaca
The hair of the alpaca has unique hollow fibre properties, developed as a result of the extreme temperature conditions in the animal’s natural mountainside habitat.  Alpaca yarn is therefore warm and hardwearing but also hypoallergenic, boasting a very low prickle factor – so even people who cannot usually wear wool will love Perilla socks.

Second only to silk for strength, alpaca fibre has the softness of cashmere – yet is more durable and hardwearing.  The Perilla yarn, which is processed and dyed in Britain, is smooth, breathable and antibacterial.
