Fishing Boots & Shoes

With snow and ice gripping the UK, there’s a lot of talk on fishing forums about the best footwear to buy. It’s an issue that’s important to us all, and rightly so!

Decent, warm footwear is crucial to anglers at this time of year. But what if your tackle shop is a bit limited in what it offers? Well, our advice would be to visit an outdoor specialist, such as Outdoor Gear.

If you have a look at their footwear sections (I’ll add some links below to make life easier for you), you’ll see that they offer a wide range of shoes and boots. As an angler who often has to walk long distances whilst fishing, boots aren’t always the best option for me. In fact, most of my fishing is done in trainer-style shoes when I can get away with it. At Outdoor Gear, all the bases are covered.

There are far too many offers available to highlight all on here, so here’s a selection of three items of footwear that grabbed by attention. CLICK HERE to take a look at a whole lot more.

Trespass Prednost Waterproof BootTrespass Prednost Waterproof Boot
This is the style of boot I tend to wear a lot, as it offers the best of both worlds. Comfortable in a shoe-like way, it’s big enough to stop the likes of sand getting in if you’re on the beach!

A waterproof hiking boot that boasts a heel support and hydroguard membrane for added stability and protection. Fantastic for walking on defined paths, the Prednost will keep your feet dry and climatically comfortable in all weather conditions.

The Outdoor Gear website lists its key features as waterproof, breathable, heel support, hydroguard membrane, leather upper, phylon midsole, rubber outsole.

Currently selling for just £35.71 – it’s a steal!

The items above are just a tiny selection of the footwear that’s on offer from Outdoor Gear. I’ve chosen three from the men’s section (funny that, me being a bloke and everything), but they also stock a wide range for women and children.

As well as household brand names, such as Nike, Hi-Tec, Hunter (yes, they stock Hunter wellies!), Outdoor Gear also stock the specialist brands that serious outdoor enthusiasts seek out. They have a good range of socks and accessories, too, such as the excellent Sealskinz range.

Take a look at their website today. I doubt you’ll be disappointed. I’ve included some links below here, but please also remember that Outdoor Gear stock more than just footwear!
