EFTTA brought its Board back up to full strength with the election of three new members at its EFTTEX 2009 AGA in Budapest, Hungary on 14th June. The new Board members are Ole Bjerke, Vice President Portfolio Management and Marketing for O.Mustad; Jari Kokkonen, Director of Lure Sales for the Rapala VMC Group; and Robin Morley, Director of Daiwa Sports Ltd in the UK.
Three existing Board members were the subject of a three year motion for re-election. Richard Sanderson of Hardy & Greys, Per Westerlund of Bios and Lars Svendsen of Svendsen Sports were all reappointed.
EFTTA President Pierangelo Zanetta said of the board members, “Its EFTTA’s deliberate policy to actively seek board members from a diverse range of European countries and companies. We have a lot of Scandinavia represented as well as Italy, Spain, France, Germany, England and Russia. We are also pleased that we have some industry big-hitters onboard such as Pure Fishing and Hardy & Greys as well as smaller companies represented. We have a good mix which echoes the diversity of the trade that join EFTTA and exhibit at EFTTEX.”
Meanwhile congratulations to Belgium-based bait company Van Spitael for winning a year’s free EFTTA membership in the draw open to all exhibitors that attended the EFTTA AGA.
