Just to add to John and Keiths posts ......... WOW the fish are here, left marina at 6.00, fuelled up and at St marys by 7.00, could have gone home at 8.00 boasting of a great catch LOL but stayed on a while longer GRRRRRReat day 25 cod between me and Ian lots of 4`s several 5`s most caught at St Marys, best crop of fish I`ve seen there for years, usually all in the 2lb bracket but much bigger this year.
Weather was spot on (as was the company) ...............
Ian caught a great 5 lbder, came hurtling through the air ..... cheers dave M .
round trip today of over 50 mile after wrecking and a run up to Newbiggen but still best fishing was within 4 miles of the tyne.
Great to have several boats out again, rose of Joyce, Dolly, Malibu etc.
Had a Call from Alan on JFK , they were into doubles today, all looking good for a brill season ..... roll on the mackeral

Nice one lads , were all your fish caught on bait? killer crab etc? or did you try the jelly lead head thingys?

I normally slice the calamari bodies and use them to tip off crab, rag etc, but yesterday i was just pulling off the heads off and using them, seemed to do the biz!

All fish taken on baited lures Keith....Royd lures in particular.

Norman used these from the off while i had a couple of muppets with a flowing trace with crab on.

7 fish to nil (within about 3/4 of an hour) I decided to change to what Norman was using.

Straight away it made absolutely no sodding difference as Norman continued to pull fish in left right and centre.

I have no explanation for the humiliation Norman put me through other then he's a complete jammy ****.

Why is that two people fishing a matter of feet from each other have totally different days.

Needles to say I came up with a theory that I will be catching all the decent fish on the wrecks this year to make up for it.

Thanks for another crackin day out Norman.

I forgot to take my lumi tube lures I was dying to give then a try.

Ian, I always wait to see what Bert's doing before I set up, maybe you should do the same with Norman - lol

Anyway, I've had enough of these 6lbers, the fillets are too big for my freezer bags
