if any of you fish Marden Quarry will you please abide by the rules, barbless hooks only. Over there this morning had a terrible job with a couple of other lads getting a hold one of the young swans, with a hook stuck in it's tongue and a load of line wrapped round it. No doubt it has picked somebody's bait up and when it swam off they have just cut the line. Job made harder as they where using lead braided hook lengths. We eventually managed to get the hook out and left Carol the warden waiting for the RSPB to come, whether it survives is another matter.
