    Well been wanting to try bass and pollock fishing for a number ov years but finally made the leep and done it just got this threw the door today from glassgow anglering just waiting on the rod and the reel to be delivied and a few other bits of tackle then should be out tusday can't wait

    Good luck mate, and dont get too discouraged if you blank. Chasing the illusive silver is a frustrating but eventually rewarding pursuit. Keep note of the tides, conditions and marks you fish, once you catch a bass, if you fish the same mark in the same conditions they will be fish there again.

      It's worth going out to get use to your gear, and there is always a chance of a lucky one but it is usually the end of May when they start to show,

            Nice one, I bet you cannot wait to get the new rod and try out the gear.Have you thought about fly fishing for them as well, both bass and pollock readily take a fly.

            You're going to need some more leads though and while you're buying them, have a look on the net for some of these eels, they're cheap and almost as good as frozen sandeel for spinning for pollock.
