What are the best colours you guys have had the most success with? Thinking along the lines of lure such as the patchinko and frosty etc.... Planning on give the hp's a good old go this year instead of just messing about with them.

This is going to be my first proper bass season too mate.

I don't know what works yet but The lads on here have told me the ima komomo in joker flashing plate and chameleon flashing plate catch fish round here.

After those I've went for a variety of colours to see what works for me.

Good luck it's a nightmare picking a few out to buy.
    All the gear, no idea.

500g and sunsprat in the patch and yellow back in the frosty work well

I've never been convinced that the colour of surface lure makes a massive different, the lure will be silhouetted to the fish below. That said I've had more bass off the surface on white poppers. I think the colour catches the angler more than the fish. All that said, I'm not the greatest bass angler, there's plenty of more successful bass anglers on here than me.

Quite a few lures now are translucent with a reflective plate inside and the light shines through them reflecting some of the colour below , if you have a yellow backed xorus lure pop it under a fluorescent light and you will see it

There's a couple of new colours for this year, the 'baitfish' patchinko 100 looks like 500g but also has a flashing plate in the body, seems like a win win to me.
