The Divided Sea

These photo's show there was quite a swell in the harbour today. In fact, the swell combined with the flippin wind meant it was too rough to launch the kayak.

However on the north side of the pier where it is not protected by two enclosing piers, it was unbelievably lovely and calm.[IMG][/IMG]

That looks like the south to me,where the salmon nets are? looking toward Souter/ Marsden?

If you're looking at the end of the pier or "out to sea" (east) from the beach, your left is north and your right is south.

Of course Ya Reet. I'm afraid its not so much a case of my right hand not knowing what my left is doing, but more me not knowing my left from my right. Or in this case my North from my South
