          Step by Step

The wire is the armouring from electric cable. Start with about a 4 inch length

Step 1. Wrap around the screwdriver shaft to start the basic shape.

Step 2. Nip end to form top of clip

Step 3. Open legs and place onto screwdriver shaft

Step 4. Bend bottom of legs around shaft to form basic shape of clip bottom

Glad to hear it mate. I've been in a wheelchair for the last month after an accident with a step ladder but will be back out as soon as I can.

They look good mate but that steel wire will tarnish really badly in sea water.

The wire is galvanised mate and they would probably be changed each session, I'll just see how it goes for starters and could probably change the wire type if needed. They have to work first, as I usually use breakaway imps.

I've worked with swa cable quite a bit mate and when the armour gets water on it goes downhill pretty quickly. They will be fine if only used a couple of times but stainless wire will be much better. Good luck with them.

Cheers m8 - Also looking at using old bicycle spokes but that depends on how pliable they are.

Spokes are a pig to bend mate , the clips look fine but I would test the poundage on a digital scales before a cast , stainless tig weld rods would be better if you can get some .
Good luck with them I'm sure they'll release , tight lines
                              I am a fisherman !
It is not merely something that I do
It is who I am !
Fishing is not simply my escape.
It is where I am supposed to be.
It is not a place that I go
But a lifelong journey that I am taking
