Just got this info

The Fish on the Tyne event is being held on Saturday May 3rd and Sunday May 4th on the Gateshead Quayside in front of the Sage. There will be an angling talk-in, chefs will demonstrate different ways of cooking fish, and Blyth based trawlers will unload their catches on the quayside. Representatives of Get Hooked on Fishing will be demonstrating casting and how to set tackle up, and rods and reels will be available for anyone wanting to learn how to cast.

It's my project down there Alan. I'll be having 10 rods out and we'll be letting kids (and adult if they want) have 50 min sessions (dueto limited time and so many visitors). We'll bait up and cast for them for H&S reasons though although they will watch for bites and bring in any fish. They're expecting about 15,000 to turn up for the event. Should be a canny day out
