If you try this and still have problems try a smaller melting pot and melt smaller amounts of lead, I had this problem once found the pan which I was melting the lead in was to big and although the lead was melting it still wasn't hot enough pour

help with sinkers

When heating led up make sure the led has a blue tint also heat the mold but not a long time as you can warp your mold and heating mold gets rid of any moisture

sinker mould

sinker mould

used to have the same problem before I started to heat the mould up before putting in the lead seemed to be ok after that.
I now tend just to buy a few sinkers of a local lad then you don't have to fanny around trying to obtain lead gas and other odds and ends.

I had the same problems mate, realised I'm not good with traditional methods (I'm a chef not an iron monger lol) so I asked santi for a lee lead melter for xmas, its solved all my problems. This was my first batch of leads using it the other week
