mk1 appollo

I had one when they first came out and have just got one of a lad on here in used condition there the dogs doodars top top rod one of the best rods greys made worth there weight in gold m8

Whats peoples thoughts on the mk1 appollo a have got a shop condition one and dunno whether to keep it or get rid of it

Cracking rods and were the best apollos made, only second to the MK3 Apollo in my opinion.

Very sought after rods, but again well worth keeping hold of, totally up to you to keep hold or not. Personally, keep it mate :)

Done well there buddy, well worth keeping/using.Made when grey's made very good rods, prob the best rod they ever produced, still highly sought after now.Had a mk2,not a patch on the original, too heavy in weight (coz of the amont of cheap carbon used in manufacturing)unlike zipplex/century that use high qlty materials(lightweight n very strong carbon).Anyways got yourself a cracking rod there fellah:)

I've got an original Mk1, quality rod. Was gutted the last time I was out when I snapped the tip lifting a kelp frond with a bolder attached out of the river. My own stupid fault. Lost about 6 inches of the tip. Wanted to cry

6" to loose is qt a bit buddy,it will be useable but won't have the same bite detection/action as b4,but like I say u will still be able to use it,might be like a scaffpole tho, best of luck with it buddy, hope it's not too pokerish 4u:)
