I was assuming the pier would be closed for the late spring and all summer,but I have just read a report that the work is scheduled to start on 1st of april for a minimum of 30 weeks which will bring it to December 2014, have I read the report wrong?

It's due to be closed from the beginning of April until the end of November for re-surfacing of the pier.
