  • NSFC Fisheries officer report 31 march 2007

At the meeting last tuesday the fisheries protection vessels gave reports on catches and landings in the various ports of the region.

A paragraph in the report by Fisheries officer JP Cooke caught my eye. It was in the section covering trawling in amble.

"Landings for March were similar to those in February, averaging around 4-6 boxes of prawns with the odd landings to 10 boxes and 2-4 boxes of mixed whitefish, increasing slightly up to 6 boxes for some towards the end of the quarter with the odd box of red mullet also being landed..."

Where are these guys fishing? Just off Alicante ?

    Cheers

      Thought for the day:
Some people are like slinkies - not really good for anything but bring a smile to your face when thrown down the stairs

Converting an MFV Fifie trawler type thing.
