  • Slinky Winter Warmers

Just a quick view on our "weapons of the future" a little update on progress.
Looking at following on from last years early season success in the spring run of cod with the Slinky grub lures we've tried to turn it up a notch with a new mould. This one is aimed straight at the St Marys rocky ground fishing, early season (although maybe the fish can't read and they'll take the lures elsewhere )
Its a clear see through mould that takes a special leaded 5/0 baitholder hook with a gripper lead (gripper in the sense it grips inside the plastic)
we've developed both the grub mould and the hook lead mould specifically for each other as can be seen in the pics.

Fingers crossed it'll be worth all the hard work .............

see yous all out there very very soon

all the best for 2014 lads and lasses .....

    the mould ......

    The gripper hooks ....

    The message ....

    The boxed Set .....

    cheers

Nah! , you won't catch any fish with them Norman, unless you tip them with mussels or wrap a peeler round them
Looks like you have plenty to keep you occupied till the spring run
Did you make the hook mould using the new cnc thingy?

quick cursory glance of the internet makes this perhaps appear unattainable

Cracking stuff Norman, you’ve even made them with embossed instructions on where to fish them.

I read an academic publication recently about different fish preferring different colours and shapes of lures. I’ll have a look for it and post a link as it may be of interest to Team Slinky’s design team.
