well the start to the new year has got off to a bad one . our fishing club has folded due to lack of interest . same old story there was only a couple of us putting in the effort and all the rest wanted to do was turn up and fish on the day . ill have to inform alan skinner to cancel booked trips and hope he will put me and my mate down for any weekend trips if the numbers are short.

Sorry to hear that Michael . I think we are arranging a load of comps for this year so you\'ll probably get a few trips out with us if your pushed .

what club was it Micheal. Sorry to hear that. If it is any consolation I dont belong to a club but i feel that this site is the next best thing if not better. Have had several days out on members boats from the board and have thoroughly enjoyed the days and safe to say some of the members are bloody good skippers.
Fish on mate.

it was the kinsley royal british legion club nr pontefract , was a great little club to start , but as i say there were too many wanting to sit back and reap the benefits while a couple of us were doing all the work . ill keep an eye on the board to see about boat comps etc and if dates are ok i cant see a problem for me and my mate to join in .Comment

Sorry to hear about the collapse of the club you were in.
Might have some good news for you though, and that is a club I am trying to get going at the mo.
The Five Towns Sea Anglers Club based in Knottingley - just a few miles from you - 3 miles out of Pontefract.

The site is up, and under construction, but you will get an idea of what we are going to be about.
There are some dates posted already, but these are no way confirmed yet - have to wait to see how many - if any, are interested in forming the club, and then kick some dates about. I put them up basically so people could get the idea.
