  • Whitley bay kayaking 25/4/13.

Launched early 6am this morning into a flat calm sea for a change, conditions spot on virtually no wind a good run of ebbing tide. Nowt showing inshore on the sounder so carried on out to the can still nowt showing.Anchored up Barry anchored alongside and had a 3lb cod out before i wet my line followed by a smaller cod while i faffed on missing bites and getting fast with a fish on and lost it, thought it was gonna be one of those days however caught a couple cod shortly after. Then it went dead, back ashore early 10am.Few photos from this morning.

Great to get out even though fishing slow........Dave.

Well done Dave, at least you got out and got a couple, some canny pics. That's the flattest I've seen it for a bit. Was going to try and get out Sunday but looks a bit choppy. What bait was used pal, always good to know

Davey gave me his old camera says it will take better pictures of him I had the other on soft focus so he didn't scare the kids

Hi Davy, excellent report as usual with great pics to boot. I did go out in the afternoon, just as the breeze started, just not as calm as it was when I saw yous on the beach.
catch yous out there again soon
