Got the chance to go out today and here's how it went.
I'm on holiday from work this week and that normally means bad weather as last week was nice.
Went to pay a few bills and ended up heading home along the sea front at about 11.00am sea calm and nice and warm, quick call to a pal and a visit to Billy's for some bait and we headed out about 12.15. Heard that St Mary's was fishing well so started there, fished there until 4.30 then cullercoats for a last hour.
we caught between us 11 cod between 2 and 6 lbs, about 10 scotchies, odd small whiting and still plenty of mackerel.
It was good to get out but it was strange to be out at sea in October only needing a t shirt.
