  • Terri Louise - Saturday 26th May

It was a bit of a slow day for us today, we spent the morning trying out some of the wrecks and then onto the ruff ground north of Hartlepool for a few hours after midday.

We only managed 3 decent'ish cod off the wrecks, I got one at 5 1/2 lb and me dad got two between 4 -5 lbs. It was even slower on the rough ground with only a couple of small ling coming in. As always tho it was still nice to get out their.

It did'nt sound like the charter boats were doing any better either, but I hear they had the odd mackerel earlier on in the day.

    HMS CUSTOMS Heading out.

      Well Done lads!

I don't mean to be cheeky, but did you fillet the fish with an axe?
      Cheers, Keith.

Seapride got out and went south to Salt Scar. Did a little better there with 8 cod to 5lb. Best fish went to Ian using a muppet baited with squid.
