I'm staying in Redmire next weekend so fancy giving my new fly gear it's first run out. Can anyone recommend anywhere I can fish with a day pass near there?

Can't recommend any fisheries, but was at sharply then other day and the fish were feeding just below the surface. Try using pheasant tails on a slow retrieve.
Happy to help, Keen to learn!

      Cheers Phil.

I've been having a look online and looks like the river Swale around Richmond will be worth a shot, cheap day ticket as well.

west tanfield and bellflask are not too far away (about 20 miles),
heading to both of these in about a months time so if you do go let me know how you get on,
        Mal.

Thanks, tanfield looks like a nice place, worth a visit sometime, but this weekend I'm hoping to get on one of the rivers in the Dales.

I found this site, Day Ticket Fishing Yorkshire Dales and it has all the rivers listed with info on day tickets, looks like I'll be trying the Swale near Richmond, or the Ure around Bainbridge or Hawes.
