    Wednesday March 16, 2005

Fish Sharpleys today wind was gail force looked like the North Sea.

Fished using some sample flies that may be stocked soon at temples whitley bay (International range) given to me by the tier. (Now in stock these are the dogs dangleys)

Caught a 12lb Rainbow on a size 16 red buzzer fished under an indicator.

Fished with three other lads we all caught our limit (and more) with 3 doubles amongst the catches.

One of the lads caught a 14.8 well done Gordon.

I’ve had two doubles and a few near doubles from sharpleys. Started fly fishing last year after getting disillusioned with shore fishing.

Caught a lot more fish with this lads flies you are right they are superb he sends them all over the country.

Sless should fish well if the wind drops. Small size sixteen buzzer fished under an indicator. I fished them about 5 foot down and also caught on red apps blood worm (kicking) and one called a pinkie which is a pink variant of the apps.

Most people who start fly fishing make the mistake of bringing the rod to far back, I did. The best why I can discribe how to do it is to keep your rod vertical and move your arm as though you are throwing a dart. Hope this makes sense to you.
