  • Some Advice Please

We are going away in June to the lake district and i fancied fishing over there, any advice on what rod, reel, line etc, all the stuff i would need as i have no idea....
ive been sea fishing for 1 year now, and love it, want to try the lakes etc, sounds lush, just sitting there chilling out with a beer waiting.

i was at Durham today, took a walk along the river... seen what i think are marks along there, wooden built things numbers marked on trees....
can u fish Durham river and if so do u catch much there....

    thanx for any advice

Rod licence for coarse fish is £27 PA.
Rivers are closed until June for coarse fish.
