  • Hard day at Derwent April 23rd.

With a deepening depression cold north easterly wind and rain forecast and the water at times flatter than a Witches preverbials, me and Colin knew it was going to be a hard day, but when you get the fishing itch you've got to scratch it.Fished Cronkley and Millshields but not a touch.Ended up above the sailing club where Colin wearing his magic underpants managed to land two, the heaviest about 2 1/2lb. I lost two at the net and managed to foul hook a small roach.

        Thought for the day:
Some people are like slinkies - not really good for anything but bring a smile to your face when thrown down the stairs

Converting an MFV Fifie trawler type thing.
