Bream on a lure

Another one for the fresh water lads, i had another short session at lunch time today trying for pike, i could see the fish but they just weren't interested in my lures. Deciding it was to hot for them i down sized and decided to try for a few perch, a few cases in the rod start's. Going mental i thought i was in to a good Perch or a small pike, it turned out I'd tail hooked a bream, about 3lb, i eased it in and unhooked it, opting to do this in the water as it was about 26c and the fish was foal hooked so wouldn't have counted in the lure challenge. After reading about a break being caught on an isome i quickly change to a small (size 16 i think) hook with an isome. By this time the water was swimming with break so i wacked on a couple of split shot for a bit of weight and plunked the worm on the fishs noise, but they were not interested in the slightest, didn't even get a follow. There was a lad fishing fir them with bread but they didn't seem interested in that either. Going to try in the morning (working the weekend), maybe with a breadfly. Anyway the point of the post was, do fresh water fish stop feeding if its too warm?

I tried with a bread fly today but the bream just weren't interested, the Roche and possibly Dace (i need to brush up on my fresh water species) had a good go though but alas my fly was to big for them, going to tie up a smaller on tonight and try again. Not sure what the answer is with the bream maybe a dusk or dawn session.

Dusk on muggy nights best in my opinion, mind I've never tried dawn always obsessed with the method feeder by then lol.
Tried for years to get hold of flys that look good to course fish like carp and bream.
Have caught Rudd and perch on the usual spiders and green wells if I could tie flies I would be tying an imitation of the small frogs that are about at the moment as they were getting hammered the other night
