  • Leeda bass rod

    Has anyone used one? Just there is an offer on at Glasgow angling for the rod and okuma trio reel for £75 seems a bargain but not sure on the rod

    If there as good as their beach rods I reckon you should be onto a winner

      The trio is worth about £45-50 by itself mate

        I know Leeda ha a good name now but can't see them being good with the price of the reel

          Nah I would doubt it... Not many quality rods about for the equivalent of £25 :-)

            Separately yes but they have always been able to drop the price on either or as they still make a good profit

              Bit of advice mate shop around and try a rod
              With a reel on just so you can get the balance
              Of the reel perfect on rod???also there's different tip action there's fast
              Medium fast and stiff also depends what your going to use IE
              Spinners or HP Or SP ... I use the tenryu rod bar 270
              And it's amazing bit of kit but you need to get something
              Witch suits you style of fishing

                To be honest mate I I fish for bass it's just for the hope of one while using a bigger rod at distance only ever bait fish for them so was thinking 3oz lead and ragworm

                  Tbh a bass rod is pretty much just a light beachcaster for light ground.. I use a MTI Bass and love it! Ideal for fishing the wear and flatty bashing

                    Cheap does not always mean rubbish. I still have my first spinning rod, it was a £25 combo from reelsport about 6-7 years ago. The rod is still going strong and is often in my boot as a spare, the reel unfortunately pass some time ago mostly down to me not maintaining it.
