  • Conger on a lure

    Heading over to the mull (3weeks Friday) and I'm going to take my boat rod, as ive seen lads catch conger where i fish using a boat rod and mackerel baits, bit would they take a lure ?

    Yeh they will take lures!!!! I catch them on 10oz jig heads with a big red and
    black soft lure ..i find black and red work best.for conger but thats just mine opinion
    no.dought people will dissagree with me

      Few days there in August, fishing for conger through the night with my uptider !
      Will deffo be keeping an eye on this thread !
      And hopefully a good catch report in 3 weeks...enjoy matey...
      GET OUT THERE AND STICK A BAIT IN IT !!!

        I'm sure the Pollock and wrasse will keep me entertained, but i need to diversify if I'm going to get back to the top of the table

              I use 12" fire tails and also 9"-10"shads aslong as
              their is movment on them you will.get them....just jig
              lure up and down and you will get them.dont ne afraid lol just
              toss any colour lure at them they will take it good luck
