  • Pressure and Moon related info

Stumbled across this book on iTunes for £1.99 called: 'How the Weather and Moon really Impact on Fishing'

It's only really short, but here are a few useful sections about Barometric Pressure and tips on the Moon State (other than the tide)

It's predominantly aimed at Freshwater Anglers, but the science is applicable to most shallower water situations e.g shallow coastline etc.

    Hope this helps
    Regards
    Si

Si, I didn't read all of that but I'm a big believer with moon/ air pressure and pike feeding.
But some waters throw it all out the window. For instance a loch I fish regular fishes well on dead baits a few days into a new moon and low pressures. Ive set my watch to it when lucky enough, not that I fish to the lunar phases and barometer as I fish when I can.
High pressure to me is lure fishing territority, but a certain river fished the opposite.
Today was sub zero temperatures and normal to high pressures, I had nothing in 2 hours of lure fishing but managed a belter on the dead baits.

I'll never know, but you have to be in it to win it,

    Jim

Lot of scepticism regarding moonphases, but from my own experience they do have an effect, and allow you to predict when fish will feed most actively. Very informative piece there Si, nice one
