    how about this
i bought a greys missionary 8\' spinning rod from a local tackle shop
but was told you dont get the rod in a tube
so i passed greys/hardys of alnwick
popped in and told them what happened
the bloke went away and came back 2 minutes later with the rod tube to match my rod
they were so pleasant i thought they deserve a mention
    thanks very much

    Definitely \"deserve a mention\", Sless.

I\'ve always believed in acknowledging GOOD service, just as much as criticising POOR service.

    Glad you got sorted

My all time fave rod ever, is an old Daiwa sensor spinning rod, at 8ft. I\'ve caught more fish with that than all the rest of me rods put together, and not just mackeral in the summer either. One with a decent action will hoy a 15 - 25g spinner at lot further than you\'d believe possible. I love that rod so much I just apid well over the odds for one on ebay, in case it ever gets busted

i bought it to go on holiday
it is a 4 piece rod and better to carry than a spinning rod
im going to use it at loch ken in a couple of weeks
might even get a big pike on it
i will let you know how it goes
