  • is steetley pier closed still?

    anyone know if steetley is still closed,used to love that pier but was an accident waiting to happen with those massive holes

        Wishful thinking I'm afraid mate. The powers that be have removed about 30 yards of the structure below the HT mark. Won't ever be replaced, just a matter of time before the rest of it goes the same way.

            you cannot get on at all now. Mind i did hear some lads had put some big nails in part of the woodwork climbed up at low tide and stayed on until the tide went back out again.
            Crazy if you ask me. The end of the pier is a death trap.

                the end of one of the most produtive piers on the n.e coast.

                  you would have to be mad to venture onto the jetty now, it's been on fire for the last 4 months or so! won't be long before it collapses into the sea

                    there is no pier left !! the wood floor goes to the gate ... then after that its burnt away.
