Going to be fishing the Castle on Sunday and looking for a bit of advice as best places/baits to fish.
Also do you think it will be worth while taking the spinning rod and trying abit spinning and float fishing, or is it too early?
Should i just stick with the big rods and bait?
    Heard its very tackle hungry?

You would probably be better off fishing Embleton beach for flats mate...coalies from the castle skeer but you are right...it can be heavy on the tackle.

I've only fished the Castle with the big gear once, didn't get anything but the Kelpy gullys on the way to crasrer are worth a chuck. Personly i would take your spinning gear if you fish the Castle, cast parallel to the cliffs has produced a few good fish.
