  • Northumbria Police SAC - Newbiggin 17th Jan 2010

Using our usual points system 12 fished various rock and beach marks with 6 managing to catch. Although conditions looked promising, there was only a total of 9 fish caught. Lynmouth beach was the 1st stop for 6 of us (as well as a dozen other locals we presumed). Mick Todd managed to hook a small codling and then buggered off to catch something a bit bigger elsewhere (didnt quite work out that way). Stayed for a few more casts and left for Snab Point where Paul Wastell got a bite then hung up on the way in, snapped his lead off and landed his codling. Peter Brooks stole the show with the biggest bag and H/F with his 46cm codling also caught from Snab Point.

    1st. Peter Brooks 98 pts (H/F 1 x codling)
    2nd. Matty Thompson 91pts ( 1 x coalie,1 x bass, 2 x flounder)
    3rd. Paul Wastell 80pts (1 x codling)
    4th. Andy Bell 29pts (1 x flounder)
    5th. Mick Todd (1 x codling)
    6th. Peter Morgan (1 x coalie)
A bad days fishing is better than a good day at work.
